August Brilliant Bundle

End of summer brilliant bundle to get ready for fall conference prep & pitching

With finishing up summer vacations, hitting those back-to-school sales, and trying to beat the heat during the dog days of summer, getting words on the page can be a challenge. And then to prepare for conference season on top that?? Who's got the time or energy?

Listen, we get it. It's tough to set a goal then strive to achieve it. But you can do it! We believe in you.

Why?

Because we've been there. And we know how difficult it can be to balance life with your writing dreams.

Good thing, though, is you're not along. We're here to help.

Our August Brilliant Bundle offers great classes to help with pre-conference prep, pitching & one sheets, and making sure your manuscript is ready for submission.

So let's start with Pre-conference Prep. Let's face it--conferences can be overwhelming and leave you a bundle of nerves, especially if you've never attended. This class offers tips about pitching, one-sheets, how to talk about your book in the elevator, and everything else you'll need to know even before the conference begins.

Then, we'll continue with Pitching & One Sheets. Are you pitching a book at an upcoming conference? This nuts and bolts class with award-winning authors Rachel Hauck, Beth Vogt, and me will help you figure out how to prepare a great pitch, how to create a powerful one-sheet, and then how to talk through the actual pitching process along with tips to get rid of the nervousness. If you've never pitched before, or just need a refresher, let us give you a Pre-Pitch Peptalk!

Hooray! You've pitched to editors and agents, and they've requested proposals. Or even better, a full manuscript! Now what? How do you know you're ready for submission? No worries. We've got you covered with All Glammed Up. During the class, we'll talk through the checklist of all the plotting and characterization elements you need for a powerful, finished novel. We'll look at wordsmithing, voice, and talk about how to create a query letter that wows your prospective editor or agent.

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. - Goethe

You can write a brilliant story. Let's make it happen.

XO!

Susan May Warren
Hi. I'm Susan May Warren. I started writing while I lived in Siberia (yes, you heard that right--cold, snowy, Siberia). Alone. No one to help me, overwhelmed and not a little discouraged. Fifteen years later, I've published over 65 books in five different genres, have landed on numerous bestseller lists (including USA Today), won the RITA, CHRISTY and CAROL awards (and others) and started a school for novelists.

I've learned a few things along the way (beyond techniques on how to stay warm in the tundra!) Most importantly I learned that if I wanted to be published, I had to figure out how to write a book, how to edit it, how to step back from my stories, look at them with a critical eye, figure out what a good manuscript looks like, and then use my unique voice to make that happen.

I'd like to teach you how to write a good book. Edit it...and then, we'll talk about selling it.
