September 2023 Brilliant Bundle

A trio of classes to help you strengthen your writing skills.

We understand how launching out into a goal, a dream, or a serious endeavor like writing a novel is, well, daunting. You have the fire, the idea, and the characters, but how do you keep going?

(And going...)

As we close out the third quarter of this year, keep in mind the goals you envisioned at the beginning of 2023 that embrace your values. We can help you hone your skills and achieve your writing goals. Our September 2023 Brilliant Bundle offers a trio of lessons to help with your writing journey.

Let's begin with...

Brainstorming a Novella

If you considered writing a novella and wondered where to start, then you will enjoy this class led by Tari Faris. She walks through her brainstorming process as she plans out her upcoming Christmas novella, While It Was Snowing.

Create Powerful Scene Hooks

Learn how to build a powerful scene HOOK and jumpstart your scene in this short lesson. Set SCENE hooks to drive your character (and reader) through every scene.

Your Story Spine

Before this peptalk, I asked for synopsis and Lindy Hop submissions, and I got 'em! I poured over the ones I chose, and in this peptalk we get down to brass tacks, helping you get ready to write/edit your novels. So, if you wonder how I do my Book Therapies, or what an very early macro-edit looks like, then you should definitely watch this class. Hopefully, it will help you identify strengths and weaknesses in your own plots, and adjust accordingly.

What You Can Do, or Dream You Can, Begin It; Boldness Has Genius, Power, and Magic in It.

Susan May Warren
Hi. I'm Susan May Warren. I started writing while I lived in Siberia (yes, you heard that right--cold, snowy, Siberia). Alone. No one to help me, overwhelmed and not a little discouraged. Eighteen years later, I've published over 80 books in five different genres, have landed on numerous bestseller lists (including USA Today), won the RITA, CHRISTY and CAROL awards (and others) and started a school for novelists.

I've learned a few things along the way (beyond techniques on how to stay warm in the tundra!) Most importantly I learned that if I wanted to be published, I had to figure out how to write a book, how to edit it, how to step back from my stories, look at them with a critical eye, figure out what a good manuscript looks like, and then use my unique voice to make that happen.

I'd like to teach you how to write a good book. Edit it...and then, we'll talk about selling it.
