MBT Scholarship Program

We understand pursuing your writing dream comes at a financial cost. We also understand many of you have been impacted by COVID-19 closures and restrictions. In order to help with your writing journey, we have created the MBT Scholarship Program for Novel Academy Memberships. Please read the following information and if you have any questions, please send them to scholarships@mybooktherapy.com.

Scholarship Guidelines: 

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants need to be a Novel Academy member for at least one year. If you need to know your enrollment date, please contact Lisa Jordan at lisa@mybooktherapy.com.

The MBT Scholarship Program is for the Novel Academy Membership, not other courses such as the Storycrafters Program, Brilliant Romance, etc.

Once you have received a scholarship, you are not eligible to apply again. We want to be able to serve as many members in need as possible.

Scholarship recipients will receive up to 50% off their current lifetime rate.

If you have been awarded a scholarship and choose to end your membership during that period, you will forfeit any scholarship money should you choose to rejoin. You will be required to rejoin at the current monthly rate, not at your previous lifetime rate.

Applicants need to apply by the 10th of the month preceding their enrollment month to be considered for a scholarship.

The identities of the applicants will be kept confidential. Only the MBT staff will know who applies.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, each applicant will need to share a financial need and how staying as a member will benefit their writing career, how they are using Novel Academy to build community, and what they are doing to improve their craft.

Scholarship Awards:

Scholarship recipients will receive a discount coupon code to reduce the amount of their monthly or annual rates for one year.

After the scholarship period ends, scholarship recipients’ membership will return to the lifetime rate they paid prior to receiving the scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded on a monthly basis as long as funds are available.

Applicants will be notified by email if they have received a scholarship.

Scholarship Donations:

Money for the scholarship fund comes from generous donations from our Novel Academy members. The amount of money donated will determine how many scholarships are awarded. If you would like to donate to the MBT Scholarship Fund, then add your donation amount in the box (USD please).
